Covid-19 and the effects of community operations with the school systems have been really chaotic.  Having minor kids during this pandemic has proven to be really complicated!  According to Dr. Anthony Fauci one of the top infectious disease experts going back to school “will be part of the experiment” of understanding the virus.  Schools have been debating on how to safely accommodate educational needs for a given nation.  According to data from Johns Hopkins University more than 4.5 million coronavirus cases and 153,642 deaths.  As the new school year begins this week the debate is online or in person.  According to Christoper Taylor a father of three in the Fayetteville N.C. area “this is going to be a mess” trying to get students educated with most of the parents working and being required to have each student log in daily 8hrs at a time.  “What are the working parents going to do?” Taylor expresses his concern in light of the pandemic and educational endeavors.  Everyone doesn’t have the capabilities to school from home, but the biggest concern is this too early to send the kids back to school.  Taylor has been studying and following CNN’s update on the rate of the virus.  “Seems like it’s not enough” just taking safety measures and allowing all these students back together so soon Christopher Taylor expresses.  Being a valid concern Taylor brings up a valid point in regard to the virus.  “On top of the pandemic we have a storm coming as well,” said Taylor!  This has been one tough year for sure!  As parents  “the main concern is protecting our children”  but with this Covid-19 pandemic, it seems hopeless at times says, Taylor!

As of August 2, 2020, schools in the SC district are planning on going fully online or giving some of the parents the option to do a face to face two days out the week and the rest virtually.  In a recent statement made by some well-known pediatricians, it was said that children aren’t the driver of the virus outbreak in order to lessen the concerns of parents.  Covid-19 has changed the way we will learn education forever!
