COVID-19 THE VIRUS

Covid-19 and the effects it has had on Dillon County SC. How some residents are dealing with this pandemic. In this story, you will hear how a small town called Dillon County has been impacted by a virus called Covid-19. In this story, I will be discussing how in February 2020, the world was infected with this incurable virus. This virus has changed the way this community communicates and socialize. Now being forced to alter day-to-day activities like work, and education both parents and children have found this to be a complicated task. Nevertheless, the people within this community like Christopher Taylor II who says, “prayer and hope as long as we stay focused on that and practice social distancing we will be ok.” The big question with this community is when will society go back to normal? This is a great question and according to the CDC, the only thing we can do as a community and keep safe is to stay home as much as possible, wash your hands consistently, and wear a mask. Remembering the times we could just wake up go outside and play seems like such a long time ago, but Dillon County refuses to let something like a little old Pandemic stop them from supporting their friends and family. Especially one local by the name of Krystal Ladson 38 of Dillon County. She goes on to make sure her little dancers know they are loved by having a dance recital help at the Dillon County Wellness Center. These kids we overjoyed from the looks of it and the community showed up and showed out for their future generations. That goes to show no matter how bad a situation might seem to have hope and practicing safety measures will keep us moving forward.
