MASTERY JOURNAL
speaking on what was learned and gained from Multimedia Journalism
I have gained a lot from this course during the month of August. I expected to become a better journalist. I definitely can say there was a great deal of information given here. I am really impressed with this course. If I had to pick out an assignment especially that helped me with growth as a professional journalist I would say Week 3. This assignment resonated with me because it was something I’ve been wanting to do but never really moved forward with it. I will continue to complete weekly content for my series. The only thing that I would change or do better if I could be time management and rest. Making sure you are well-rested and take your time to give the proper information is the key to success. I was once told, “We are the window to the audience.” The information and insight I gained from this course will help me in my future endeavors as a journalist by giving me the tools I need to know how to communicate, relay, research, and express everything I have to say or show the world. I am really proud of my Professor Jeff Sharon. He wasn’t just the instructor, but he was the guidance to success through this course. I am proud to have been his apprentice because he didn’t just give the work, but he made sure you understand what it is required of me as a journalist. Setting his students up for success. I will be glad to make him proud when he sees me in the future as a prize-winning journalist. I love the fact that my classmates had great growth along with myself. So until next time, I will see you guys next week.
