Dillon County, a small community in South Carolina that’s filled with big hearts is screaming out for help! In the most recent activities in Dillon County on or around about 7 pm EST. October 22, 2020, there was an active “shots fired” incident at the local McDonald’s causing multiple individuals to be injured whose names haven’t been released yet due to ongoing investigation. Below you can see officers on the scene covering the crime scene from Dillon County Sheriff to High-Way Patrol Officers.

Shortly following that incident there was another act of violence in Bunker Hill located in Dillon County as well. This was another shooting on October 25, 2020, that left one person fatally injured named Donta Lowery 37yrs old of Dillon County while another was fatally killed in a car crash, Thomasha Mckinnon, trying to get away from the crime scene or so it’s being determined. She leaves behind a legacy of 9 one of which has just endured the loss of his mother while holding it together for his to pull the win BoBo Mckinnon . Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office said, “the shooting is currently under investigation.” Some community members reported that this shooting happened at a party being help in the community of Bunker Hill Dillon County. After so many losses in the small community of Dillon County, the citizens of this small community are tired. Dashawn M. Page, a native to Dillon County, decided to speak out with regard to these devastatingly rising acts of violence by calling onto the church official’s presence. Dashawn says, “where is the pastor, where is the outreach from the church during these trivial times?” Dashawn goes on to say, this is the time when the pastors and the church body should be at its best to help stop this violence and bring the community together.”
In speaking with some community members of Dillon County the goal of this rally of mind is to take back their community and bring peace once again to this small community filled with family and friends! Dillon has had its shares of violence and crimes, but this recent string of violent crimes has taken the city to its all-new heights of violence especially among the ethnic portion of this city filled with a population of roughly about 6,444, “there shouldn’t be this much anger among a city where everybody knows everybody and grew up together” says Kim Reaves native of Dillon County. These are trivial times for the small community of Dillon County, but they are proving to the world that they are willing to fight for their community to be retaken to once again have a safe place to raise their family and grow with their friends.
