In today’s story, we cover a retired MSG of the ARMY named Willie Manning. In this story, we cover how he was injured in the line of duty, but in spite of his complications and naysayers, he manages to push forward and learns to adapt to his surroundings for success. Manning refused to let his medical complications or hospitalizations hinder him from pursuing his dreams. Manning’s dreams entail how pursuing degrees that doctors and family members alike told him he wouldn’t be able to achieve became reality. Willie Manning is currently working on completing a degree currently at Full Sail University, and despite his daily medical treatments he manages to care for five young babies that range from ages 4 to 9. This is an amazing accomplishment that really resonates and touches the hearts of the people in his community. To speak on that subject or the behalf of what type of person Manning is we caught up with Jasper Dewitt II a residence of Florence South Carolina and also a current graduate of Full Sail University. Jasper Dewitt met Manning through a mutual connection with the retail store Best Buy. Jasper describes the moment as “Manning being very different and unique he’s a soldier, a father, and a friend take the time to get to know him or speak to him, and you’ll see!” This was an understatement after speaking with Dewitt we got to catch up with Manning and just cover some of his day-to-day experiences. After reviewing some of his experiences from being hospitalized, to him currently going through treatments and interacting with his family the word determined is an understatement! Manning is an inspiration to many others in the community to press forward. In the words of Manning “don’t let anybody tell you what you can or can’t do only you can decide what you can or can’t do.”
